Aromatherapy is a branch of natural medicine. It uses plant aromas, which in the form of oils are used to treat various diseases or illnesses. It is worth knowing that aromatherapy is not a new invention – it has been known for almost 6000 years. It was successfully used by the ancient Romans, Egyptians or Arabs in medicine, skin care or embalming.

So, which oil to choose for yourself?

Lavender has a relaxing and calming effect. It is perfect for stressful situations, when it’s hard to soothe shattered nerves. Moreover, lavender soothes menstrual, rheumatic and muscle pains.

Citrus oil is irreplaceable when treating acne. It regulates sebum secretion, prevents the formation of blackheads and soothes inflammation. What is more, it slows down the breakdown of collagen fibers and prevents the development of free radicals, which makes it an effective anti-aging agent.

Tea tree oil has similar properties to citrus oil. In addition to its antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties, it is excellent for problematic skin.

Basil oil is indispensable during strenuous mental work, as it supports concentration like no other. It is also helpful in treating insomnia, migraine or menstrual pain, as well as digestive problems.

If you are tired of mood changes, nervousness and anxiety, it is worth using marjoram, cypress, mandarin, sandalwood or neroli oil.

For tiredness and apathy, in turn, peppermint, basil or thyme oil will be helpful. In the fight against depression will help you, in addition to those mentioned above, also rose, patchouli, orange or pine.

You can inhale the oils directly from the bottle or spray them with special diffusers.
